The first fourteen days
You will spend about one hour on this.
Most owners put off a website because they picture months of back and forth and a list of homework. Here is the actual schedule, with your part marked in green. Add it up and you are looking at roughly sixty minutes of your time, spread across two weeks.
Nothing is owed until you have seen the whole thing.
- 1No deposit. Nothing is paid before the site exists.
- 2No fee for the presentation, whatever you decide at the end of it.
- 3No contract, no term, and no cancellation charge on anything.
- 4No deadline on your answer. Days or months, the price holds.
- 5You own the site, the domain, and every account from day one.
Day by day
Fourteen days, start to live.
Steps in terracotta are ours. Steps in green are the only four times we need anything from you.
Day one · 20 minutes
We talk, and that is the long part over
A phone call, or a coffee, or you standing behind the counter between customers. We ask what you do, who your good customers are, what you charge, and what you wish people knew before they call. You do not need to prepare anything.
Your partDay one, later
We go look at your competition
We search what a customer in your town would search, look at whoever ranks above you, and write down what they say about price, hours, and service area. That becomes the list of things your site does better.
Our workDays two and three
We write the words first
Before a single pixel. Every page gets written in plain language, in a voice that sounds like you rather than like a brochure. This is the step most people skip and it is the reason their site reads like everyone else's.
Our workDay three · 10 minutes
You send photos and confirm your numbers
Whatever is already on your phone. Finished jobs, the shop, the truck, your crew, the food. Plus a quick yes or no on your hours, service area, and prices. The checklist below is the whole list and everything on it is optional.
Your partDays four to seven
We design and build the whole site
Every page, not a mockup of the home page. Layout, color, type, your photos edited and placed, the contact form wired to your inbox, click to call buttons, map, hours, and a look that belongs to your business instead of the same layout three other shops in town are already using.
Our workDay eight
We test it the way your customers will use it
On a phone first, then a tablet, then a desktop. On a slow connection. With a screen reader running. Every button pressed, every link followed, the form submitted for real to make sure it lands in your inbox.
Our workDay nine · 30 minutes
We present it to you, free, and you owe nothing
In person at your shop or on a screen share, whichever suits. We click through every page on a laptop and then on a phone so you see what a customer sees. You ask anything. There is no fee for this meeting and no obligation at the end of it.
Your partWhenever you are ready
You decide
Keep it for $500 and it goes live. Or walk away owing nothing and we keep the file. No deadline sits on this. If you want to think for a month, think for a month, and the price is the same when you come back.
Your partDays ten and eleven
Two rounds of changes
You tell us what to fix, we fix it, you look again. Typos and anything we got wrong are corrections rather than revisions and they never count against you.
Our workDay twelve
Domain, hosting, and Google, all in your name
We register the domain with your email on it, put the site on hosting, install the security certificate, and claim and connect your Google Business Profile so you show up on the map with the right hours and photos.
Our workDay thirteen
It goes live and we hand you the keys
Every login, in writing, in your name. The domain account, the hosting, the Google profile, and a folder with the entire site in it that you can keep forever. Nothing is held back and nothing is in our name.
Our workDay fourteen and onward
We check on it, and then we stay reachable
A week later we look at whether the phone is ringing, whether the form is landing, and whether anything reads wrong now that real customers are on it. After that, changes are $40, a full rebuild is $300, and both are free while you are on the social retainer.
Our workYour homework, all of it
Nine things, and none of them are required.
This is the complete list of what we need from you. Send what you have, skip what you do not, and we will find or write the rest ourselves. Nobody has ever handed us all nine and nobody has needed to.
- What you do, in your own words Two sentences you would say to a customer on the phone.
- Your services, and roughly what they cost A range is fine. Hidden pricing is what costs you calls.
- Hours, and whether you do emergencies Including the honest answer about weekends.
- The towns you actually serve And the ones you will not drive to, which matters just as much.
- Photos from your phone Finished work, the shop, the truck, the crew, the food. Ten is plenty.
- Two or three reviews you are proud of Screenshots are fine. We will pull the rest from Google.
- Licenses, certifications, or years in business Two seconds of reading, a lot of reassurance.
- A logo, if you have one Any file at all. If you do not have one, we draw you one at no charge.
- A domain, if you already own one Even one you bought years ago and forgot about.
Free, no email required
The local website checklist
One printable page. The nine things on the left, plus a twelve point test you can run on any website in about four minutes, including the one you already have. Print it, stick it by the register, and fill it in between customers.
No form, no email address, no follow up. It is a PDF.
If writing is not your thing
Call the number and talk through the nine items out loud instead. It takes about fifteen minutes and we will write it all down on our end. Plenty of people prefer this and it makes for a better site anyway, because you talk the way your customers do.
After it is live
What things cost when the business changes.
Prices go up, a service gets added, a partner joins, the truck gets a new wrap. None of that should mean an awkward phone call about a quote.
New prices, new hours, swapped photos, a staff change, a new service, a seasonal message. Flat fee, not an hourly rate. Usually live the same day.
A whole new look, a new structure, a rename, or a change in what the business does. Cheaper than the first build because we already know you.
Every change and every rebuild, at no charge, for as long as you are on the $500 a month retainer. You are already paying us monthly. We are not going to bill you twice.
Corrections to anything we got wrong are always free and are not counted as a change.
Day one is a phone call
Twenty minutes now, a finished website in nine days.
You are not committing to anything by starting. The build happens on our time, and the first moment money enters the conversation is after you have clicked through the whole thing yourself.
